In the latest drive launched against criminals in the metropolis, police have arrested 39 accused during the past 24 hours.
A police statement on Wednesday said that those arrested included one absconder, one proclaimed offender and four alleged dacoits.
It further said that 24 weapons of different calibres were recovered from the possession of the arrested criminals.
Action was also initiated against 91 motorcyclists for violating the ban on pillion riding and against three persons for using tinted glasses and fancy number plates on their vehicles.
