Six years after Welcome, the film’s sequel is said to be lined up, the shooting for which is scheduled to start later this July. However, leading man Akshay Kumar won’t be seen in the movie, titled Welcome Back. The reason is stated to be differences with producer Firoz Nadiadwala, a couple of years ago. As a result, the actor and the producer have not collaborated again after hits like Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri, Awara Paagal Deewana and Welcome. The latest news is that John Abraham is likely to star instead, along with Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar, who also featured in the first movie. Director Anees Bazmee is in talks with John and insiders claim that they’re likely to finalise things this week.
