The candidates from Magsi, Rind, Kurd and Bangulzai tribes have been using their influence to win elections from NA-267 Kachhi-Jhal Magsi.
Political sources said on Tuesday that after the court disqualified former federal ministers Yar Muhammad Rind and Humayun Aziz Kurd for contesting general elections 2013, the remaining candidates in the constituency include independent candidate Khalid Magsi, Abdul Rahim Rind, PML-N candidate Major (r) Amir Aziz Kurd, PTI candidate Azam Samalani and National Party candidate Abdul Sattar Bangulzai.
Yar Muhammad Rind and Humayun Kurd are campaigning for their favourite candidates and using their influence in this regard.
Some political observers said that final contest would be between Amir Kurd and Abdul Sattar Bangulzai as they are enjoying support of influential tribal elders. However, Khalid Magsi and Abdul Rahim Rind would also give tough time to their electoral rivals.
Sources said Yar Muhammad Rind had approached Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl leadership for getting support for his favourite candidate.
The JUI-F may put its weight in favour of Abdul Rahim Rind, they said.
The candidates are not holding public meetings after some banned organisations hurled threats of targeting them. However, they were going door-to-door to lure voters.
