Cement exports from the country during the first three quarters of the current financial year posted a 22.79 percent growth as compared to the same period last year.
Cement exports from the country during July-March, 2012-13, reached $ 421.121 million compared to $ 342.959 million in the corresponding period of the last financial year.
According the data from Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, 6,220,995 metric tonnes of cement was exported during the last nine months as compared to 6,245,332 metric tons in the same period of last year.
On a month-on-month basis, the cement export witnessed 13.13 percent increase during March 2013 as compared to the same month in the last financial year.
In March, 2013 about 544,250 metric tones (MT) of cement worth $ 44.40 million was exported against 655,960 (MT) worth $ 39.24 million exported in the same month last year, revealed the data.
