The rangers carried out targeted operation in various areas of Karachi in the early hours of Tuesday morning and detained 21 persons and recovered arms from their possession.
According to security sources, Rangers carried out a targeted operation in Banaras area, held ten suspects and recovered weapons.
An operation was also carried out in areas surrounding Super Highway and the forces detained eleven suspects while recovering weapons from their possession.
The operation was carried out in Bismillah market’s shops, godowns, hotels and flats after receiving secret information from intelligence agencies.
Sources said that eleven suspects were apprehended during the operation while nineteen different weapons were also recovered from their possession.
On the other hand, the police is conducting a search operation in Bilal Colony and Mehran Town areas of Korangi. SSP East Imran Shaukat said that police commandos and female perosonnel were also taking part in the action.
The entry and exit points of the area were sealed during the search operation.
