Sindh High Court (SHC) has extended the stay order on Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) petition filed against the printing of ballot papers and voters list till April 24.
SHC Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Mashir Aalam, Justice Maqbool Baqir and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah were at Islamabad to participate in a judicial conference, therefore the hearing of all pending cases with their respective benches had to be adjourned.
The SHC had also put off the hearing of constitutional petition filed against acceptance of nomination papers in respect to National Assembly Speaker Dr Fahmida Mirza for an indefinite period.
