2,000 Pakistani pilgrims stranded at Pak-Iran border

At least 2,000 Pakistani pilgrims were found stranded on Pakistan-Iran border on Monday.

According to details, some 2,000 pilgrims, including women and children, had been stranded at the border for five days. Sources said that the pilgrims had run out of food and people were beginning to fall sick due to the cold weather. Disabled people are also suspected to be among the strangled pilgrims.

The Foreign Office issued a statement and stressed on an emergent need for the diplomatic missions of both countries to resolve the crisis at the earliest.
