Will ensure peace in KP through dialogue: Imran

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday said his party would oust traditional politicians in the upcoming polls, adding that if voted into power PTI would ensure peace in Pushtun regions through dialogue.
He said he would pull out army from the tribal regions and engage with locals for peace efforts. Khan further said he would abandon America’s war on terror, adding that this was not Pakistan’s war.
God has given the nation an opportunity to rebuild the country and the opportunity should not be missed, he said.
Addressing a rally in Karak, Khan said if voted to power‚ creation of a ‘Naya Pakistan” will begin in three weeks.
Thousands of supporters had gathered at an election rally in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), just a day after PTI formally kicked off its election campaign from Lahore. Khan said, “I promise today that PTI will never compromise and will never bow in front of anyone.” PTI supporters were chanting slogans in a charged environment where party activists were dancing and clapping at regular intervals.
“People believe me and donate money to my party generously and all of this is done voluntarily,” Khan said.
He said the rate of poverty had increased exponentially during the last five years. If voted into power we will neither accept loans from the United States (US) nor beg for help, Khan pledged.
Addressing another public rally in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday, Khan said his party had the capacity to face traditional politicians, adding that politicians taking their turns cannot bring change in the system.
The masses should cast their vote for real change in the country, he said. “Our mission is to make the country a welfare state where peace and prosperity are its hallmarks,” he said.
He vowed PTI would provide proper jobs to the unemployed and introduce a uniform educational system in the country.
He said the masses of the tribal areas would be made part and parcel of the political system. The displaced people of Waziristan would be provided economic aid for rehabilitation, he stated.
The prime minister of a ‘Naya Pakistan’ would neither beg for economic aid nor get loans from world economic institutions in the name of progress and prosperity, he added.
