Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chakwal leader Naeem Akram along with other office bearers on Sunday resigned from the party over differences on ticket distribution and joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Naeem Akram who applied for a PTI ticket from NA-60, said PTI chief Imran Khan backed on his promise to give tickets to party workers.
Akram is brother of PTI District President Rizwan Akram and Vice President Labiba Iffat.
He announced his decision during a meeting with defence analyst Lt Gen (r) Abdul Qayyum. Candidate for the National Assembly (NA) seat from PML-N Major (r) Tahir Iqbal and other officer bearers of the party were also present on the occasion.
Akram said he along with his brother enrolled more than 27,000 members in PTI from Chakwal but the party tickets were awarded to those who recently joined while he and his family had been working with PTI since the last many years.
Gen Qayyum welcomed them to PML-N and assured that due respect and honour would be given to the new entrants.
He also announced full support for Tahir Iqbal.
Qayyum said Nawaz Sharif is the only experienced politician who can lead the country through the present challenges.
Tahir Iqbal admitted that some mistakes had been made in the past but assured that the future would be different. He appealed to PML-N workers to start a massive campaign since only 20 days were left in general elections.
Other leaders who spoke on the occasion were Ziaul Hassan Zaidi, Malik Mohiud Din, Raja Sajid Iqbal, Shahid Abbasi and Sheikh Zaffar Hassan.
The speakers vowed to support PML-N candidates and were confident that all six seats from Chakwal would go to PML-N.

    • Hi Ek Hindustani

Thank you for taking interest in Pakistan politic, it is touching to know that the elections are not only effecting Pakistani but alot of other nations are interested in the outcome. You must be aware of how Rajneeti works, it happenes everywhere pretty much the same. The person in question has every right to leave a party that he feels no longer has faith in. But have to say his reason for leaving is pretty pathetic, I mean not leaving becuase he was not chosen for a ticket. PTI chose ticket holders based on their merit, they obviously did a better job and made a better difference than her did. It’s a case of sour grapes. Politic is like cricket not every1 is going to be be a man of a match but instead of sulking on that you should be honoured that your country won. This person wanted his 5 min of fame he didn’t get it so changed parties. You can’t change a party based on 1 decision that was not in your favour. Alot of people who didn’t get tickets holder should still be happy that they will be part of a Naaya Pakistan, so what if you fellow Insafian got the ticket. Be happy and keep working hard to make your country proud Ameen

    • Any one has right to ask a question and we should not be so harsh. be patient. There is a long way to go. No party should accept people coming from the other parties just because they did not get the ticket. PTI should also learn the lesson.

      • Exactly if he does not get importance from PMLN then he might even leave them as well. No loyalties and no principles. Does he even acknowledge PMLN policies or just joined them to take revenge on PTI. He seems like a very shallow guy for doing so.

    • Wise comment PTI don’t need these type of people who get upset with small stuff. We need fearless tigers who have 1 thing on their mind and that is Pakistan’s welfare. Please PTI supporters keep up the fabulous job that you are doing with campaigning for PTI. God bless you all and In Shaa Allah Jannat will be granted for all your hard work Ameen.

  1. PLease close the door behind you…. BYE BYE… Glad to see these idiots leaving because they joined PTI for their personal gains not for betterment of the country..
