Four security personnel killed in North Waziristan; another bomb defused in Peshawar

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded on Sunday in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, killing four security personnel and injuring four others.

A security official told reporters that exchange of fire continued between security forces and militants near the Khwaja Khar checkpost in Mir Ali district of North Waziristan region.

Moreover, security forces conducted a raid operation in Frontier Region (FR) Kohat of Darra Adamkhel and arrested three suspected militants.

Security sources said a huge quantity of arms was also recovered from the arrested suspects.

Bomb defused in Peshawar

 

In another incident, Bomb Disposal Squad personnel (BDS) on Sunday defused a bomb in Bazeedkhel near Badaber area in the outskirts of Peshawar.

BDS official Abdul Haq told reporters that 10 kilograms of explosive material was used in the making of the bomb.
