At least six more children died on Saturday due to the measles epidemic spreading in various villages of Nowshera.
According to hospitals sources, thousands of children suffering from measles had been brought to Lady Reading Hospital and Children Hospital in Peshawar from remote areas of Nowshera.
Nowshera deputy commissioner sought a report from the Health Department within 24 hours and to dispatch medicines and doctors to the affected areas to vaccinate the children against the disease.
