The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday rejected a petition seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Amina Khan challenged the acceptance of Khan’s nomination papers for the National Assembly seat from NA-122. The petitioner alleged that Khan had ‘extramarital relations’ with a European woman Sita White and also had a daughter with the woman. She said a court of California in USA had also verified the relationship between the two. The petitioner alleged that Jamaima Khan, Khan’s ex-wife, was no more a Muslim but still had the custody of his two kids.
The court had directed the petitioner on Thursday to produce a copy of the decision passed by the American court against Khan. However, the bench on Friday rejected all allegations against the Khan and allowed him to contest the elections.
