JIT formed to probe Musharraf’s case

The Islamabad chief commissioner has formed a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe former president Pervez Musharraf’s case, in which he is accused of detaining judges by imposing emergency in 2007.
Secretariat Superintendent of Police (SP) Captain (r) Ilyas will head the JIT. The team comprises of Secretariat DSP and SHO, an officer of the CID and representatives of intelligence agencies.
The JIT will submit its initial report before the Anti-terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad in seven days. While its final report/recommendations will be made part of challan of the case. The team will investigate the case by interviewing the witnesses and examining all evidences.

  1. How, a retired army officer can conduct a fair investigation against an army chief,,,,,not possible.
