The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Saturday wrote a letter to the provincial governments as well as Frontier Constabulary and Rangers chiefs to ensure law and order during the upcoming general elections, adding that terrorism must be dealt with an iron hand.
The ECP also issued a list of sensitive and extremely sensitive polling stations across the country, revealing that there were 11,053 sensitive and 10,237 extremely sensitive polling stations in Pakistan.
ECP revealed that Punjab had 2,911 sensitive and 2,617 extremely sensitive polling stations, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had 2,980 sensitive and 1,056 extremely sensitive polling stations, Sindh had 3,621 sensitive and 4,629 extremely sensitive polling stations
In Balochistan, there were 1,071 sensitive and 1,451 extremely sensitive polling stations and FATA had 459 sensitive and 510 extremely sensitive polling stations.
