‘Christians and Muslims are brothers’

Former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Friday that being Pakistani, Muslims and Christians were brothers and no injustice could be tolerated against the minorities of Pakistan.

Addressing a huge election rally in Youhanabad, he said that the PML-N would make Youhanabad into a ModelVillage after returning to power. He said that no one could ignore the vital role played by Christians for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

The former CM, who was accorded a warm welcome in Youhanabad, said that the PML-N would carry out unprecedented development work in all the rural areas of the country. He said that a newborn political party has been tasked with paving the way for the PPP in elections. He predicted, however, that these two political parties, even working together, would not be able to secure more votes than the PML-N.

“If voted to power, the PML-N would extend the Metro Bus Service up to Kahna,” he said.
