Azerbaijan is keen to further enhance its bilateral, economic and commercial relations with Pakistan with special focus on improving the deteriorating energy situation of the country. “Azerbaijan has expertise in energy sector, having huge hydel power plants as well as expertise in exploration of oil and gas sector, therefore both the countries could cooperate in these areas to further enhance their bilateral relations,” Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov said in a meeting with office-bearers of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) on Friday.

The ICCI president informed the ambassador that ICCI plans to host a meeting of ECO Capital Chambers Conference in Islamabad with the aim to promote mutually beneficial relation between Pakistan and ECO countries.
It is highly appreciating the Azerbaijan offer of assisting Pakistan in the energy sector and in other sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure etc. As a matter of fact there are many countries who are keenly interested to help Pakistan but regretfully Zardari's callous regime did nothing in this context nor let private sector to do.just to keep deprived the whole nation of electricity, gas, eventually to keep sinking the economy of pakistan.
