Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan on Friday revealed that the Taliban started attacking them after he refused to provide them a passage to attack Punjab.
In an exclusive interview with a private TV channel, the ANP chief said, “Taliban leader Fazlullah, in a telephone call, had asked me to provide him a passage for attacking Punjab and I had refused. That is when the TTP started attacking the ANP.”
Asfandyar said no one except President Asif Ali Zardari and MQM chief Altaf Hussain had called him and condemned the attack on Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour.
He said he wanted to inform those who were silent at this time that tomorrow could be their turn.
