A child was injured on Friday when a bomb exploded in the city’s Sohrab Goth area.
The explosion, which was the result of what police described as a ‘tennis-ball-bomb’, exploded in the Faqir Goth colony in Sohrab Goth.
According to reports, panic broke out in the area after the explosion.
Soon afterwards, the police arrested a suspect who was within close proximity of the blast.
Police said the intended target of the attack was the house of a businessman from the Sabzi Mandi market of Karachi who had been receiving bomb threats for several months.
The police was still interrogating the accused who denied any involvement in the blast.
