Medical nurses working in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) on contract are without salary for the last three months.
The nurses decided to hold a protest demonstration against this injustice but they later postponed their decision after they received assurance from the BBH medical superintendent (MS) that their salaries would soon be disbursed.
When contacted, the BBH MS said that the staff nurses were working without salary for the last two months and the Punjab government had been informed about this delay. He, however, assured that the nurses would get their salaries and extension in their contracts within a couple of days.
