Police arrest criminals, recover gold ornaments and illegal weapons

Islamabad police have arrested 10 criminals from various areas of the city and have recovered a stolen car, gold ornaments, cash, 13 bottles of liquor, illegal weapons and drugs, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

According to the police official, Sub-Inspector Nusrat Ali from Golra Police Station arrested Junaid for illegally possessing a 30-bore pistol. Shehzad Town Police Station Sub-Inspectors Aness Akbar and Muhammad Ashraf arrested Tanveer and Qamer Zaman and recovered a 12-bore gun and a 30-bore pistol from them, he said.

Kohsar Police Station Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Tanveer Ahmed arrested Sajid Sohail and recovered 10 bottles of liquor. The police official said that Bhara Kau Police Station Sub-Inspector Ghulam Muhamamd Shah and ASI Muhammad Ghaus arrested Irfan and Gul Shah for illegally possessing 220 grams of hashish and three bottles of liquor respectively.

Gorla Police Station ASI Tarbul Hassan arrested Yousaf Khan on account of theft while Sabzi Mandi Police Station ASI Qamer Ejaz recovered a stolen car, numbered Hyderabad A-1272, from Manzoor Hussain.

The police official further said that ASI Saeed Akhtar and ASI Muhammad Shafi arrested Tahseen, Adnan and Adil Shehzad and recovered gold ornaments, cash, and two 30-bore pistols from them. The police official said that cases had been registered against all these people and further investigation was underway.
