The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) announced candidates for 25 provincial assembly constituencies on Wednesday.
The candidates and their respective constituencies are: Imran Nazir (PP-137), Mushtaq Mughal (PP-138), Bilal Yaseen (PP-139), Sajid Zahoor (PP-140), Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman (PP-141), Hamza Shahbaz Sharif (PP-142), Shahbaz Ahmad (PP-143), Akhtar Ali (PP-144), Wahid Gul (PP-145), Malik Waheed (PP-146), Mohsin Latif (PP-147), Akhtar Rasool (PP-148), Rana Mashhood (PP-149), Ishtiaq Ahmad (PP-150), Syed Tauseef Shah (PP-151), Khawaja Salman Rafiq (PP-152), Ramzan Sadique Bhatti (PP-153), Zaeem Qadri (PP-154), Mian Naseer Ahmad (PP-155), Yasin Sahul (PP-156), Rana Tajamal (PP-157), Malik Ghulam Habib (PP-158), Saiful Malook (PP-160). PP-159 and PP-161 are open and it is likely that Shahbaz Sharif will contest from these constituencies.
Meanwhile, the PML-N awarded tickets to Sheikh Rohail Asghar from NA-124, Wahid Alam Khan (NA-27) and Suhail Shaukat from NA-130.
Interestingly, the party in the final line-up has sidelined former MPAs Dr Saeed Elahi, Dr Asad Ashraf, Ijaz Ahmed Khan and Hafiz Nauman while most surprisingly Akhtar Rasool made a comeback.
