Qaumi Yakjehti Conference (national solidarity conference) will be held on April 25 in Islamabad to review law and order situation, Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi told reporters on Wednesday.
He also said a strategy would be chalked out with consensus in this regard. The PUC chairman said the council would issue a fatwa (edict) with regard to the religious status of casting a vote. He said the country needed national unity at this point of time.
“Fire has blanketed all areas from Karachi to Khyber and in order to extinguish this fire all religious and political forces must jump into the field,” Ashrafi concluded.
