Commander Karachi Rear Admiral Khawaja Ghazanfar Hussain has been promoted to the rank of the vice admiral.
According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Navy, Vice Admiral Ghazanfar Hussain joined the Pakistan Navy in September 1975 and was commissioned in the Operations Branch on July 1, 1978. Hussain did specialization in communication at the completion of his training and then joined the Naval Aviation as a rotary wing pilot. He has served in various fields and staff appointments. In recognition of his services, he has been decorated with Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).
