Shahzeb murder: ATC to hear case today

Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday postponed the hearing of Shahzeb murder case up until Tuesday.
Due to long the absence of Muntazir Mehndi’s, Abdul Rauf has been appointed as the new prosecutor in the case. He is the forth lawyer from the government who has taken charge of the case during the proceedings. Earlier, he had represented the government’s side of the case.
During the proceeding the new lawyer Abdul Rauf requested the court to grant some time to review the previous proceedings of the case.
On the other hand, the relatives of the main accused, Shahrukh Jatoi, submitted an application in Sindh High Court in which they pleaded that Shahzeb is a minor but the court is declaring him an adult. The applicant asked the court to seek report from the the medical board in this regard. The SHC adjourned the hearing till 22 April.
