A policeman was injured on Monday when the office of the Election Commission of Pakistan was attacked with hand grenade in Panjgur, a town close to the Iranian border, 1050kms west of Quetta.
According to police, unidentified armed men hurled a hand grenade at the ECP office located in district council hall Panjgur.
The grenade landed inside the boundary of the office and injured a policeman on duty as it exploded.
Police and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the site after the incident and corded off the area. The injured policeman was shifted to a hospital for medical aid.
Police have registered a case and started investigation into the incident.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
