Islamabad High Court has directed the Capital City Development Authority (CDA) to submit a detailed record of encroachers by coming Wednesday.
A single member bench, consisting of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, ordered this while hearing a petition filed by Jahangir Jadoon on the encroachments in the capital and inaction by the CDA. Jahangir informed the court that encroachers were increasing in the city with every passing day but the CDA was reluctant to take action against them.
In an earlier hearing, the court had directed CDA Chairman Syed Tahir Shahbaz to depute an officer to conduct a through inquiry into the allegations against Bahria Dastarkhwan of land grabbing. The court had also ordered Shahbaz to identify the officers who were complicit in this crime.
