Prompt measures directed to curb unfair means in SSC-exams

Spokesperson to caretaker Sindh Chief Minister (CM) has informed that to ensure that the SSC Part I & II examinations are conducted in a smooth and peaceful manner, a central control room has been established at the CM House and under special directives of caretaker Sindh CM section cr. PC 144 has been imposed in the jurisdiction and surrounding areas of examination centres throughout the province.
He said that serious notice of the untoward incident that occurred in Gulistan-e-Johar examination centre had been taken and officers concerned have been directed to submit immediate report about the incident.
The spokesperson further said that Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and Sindh IGP have been directed to strictly implement Section 144, and have also been directed to stop operation of photocopy machines within the surrounding areas of examination centres, ensure security of candidates and exam invigilation staff, enhancing security personal deployment at sensitive centres and arresting irrelevant persons in the premises of the exam centres to curb the culture of cheating.
Furthermore, he said that control rooms have been established at respective educational boards and the staff therein had been directed to maintain continuous coordination with the central control room at CM House during exam hours. “All divisional commissioners, deputy commissioners and officers of education department and educational board officers concerned have been directed to conduct surprise visits of exam centres in the form of vigilance teams to ensure fair and transparent examination process, he added. He also said that divisional commissioners and officers of education boards have been assigned the task of making a daily report regarding conduct during exams, to be later sent to the CM Secretariat.
He said that power distributing companies concerned, including KESC, HESCO and SEPCO have been directed to ensure un-interrupted power supply during examination hours to all centres across the province so that candidates would not face any difficulty.
