Former chief minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that those who tried to belittle the PML-N by terming it a favourite party of traders needed to change their thinking as trading was a noble profession and businessmen loved Nawaz Sharif for his prudent political and economic policies.
“They know very well that Nawaz Sharif had not only made the country’s defence impregnable by conducting nuclear tests but he had also brought about progress and prosperity through his business-friendly policies,” he told different delegations who visited Raiwind.
He added that the Indian finance minister had also asked his finance experts to adopt Pakistan’s economic policy as a role model.
“The PML-N is the only political party in the country which is admired equally by all sections of society, including government employees, farmers, lawyers, women and students,” he said.
Claiming that the laptop distribution scheme had brought a revolution in the lives of the youth, he asked the youngsters to reject the opponents of this project through their votes in elections.
“There were thousands of students across Punjab who were not only benefiting from these laptops by acquiring modern education but were also using them as a tool to earn a livelihood,” the former CM said.
Shahbaz asked the youth not to lose their heart as the PML-N government would resume the laptop distribution scheme and ujala programme after coming back to power.
