In a renewed attack on the anti-polio drive volunteers, gunmen on Saturday opened fire on the security escort of an anti-polio team in Mardan area of Bakshali.
No loss of life was reported.
Police officials said that a security escort team of the anti-polio workers was targeted by unidentified gunmen.
They confirmed that everyone was unhurt.
The attack came days after a polio team was attacked in Mardan, killing one policeman on the spot, and wounding two others.
