During Saturday’s proceedings of the Benazir Bhutto murder case, the Rawalpindi Anti Terrorism Court judge summoned all accused, including former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, for its upcoming hearing.
The case was heard by ATC judge Chaudhry Habibur Rehman.
Although, Musharraf has already been summoned in the case twice, he still failed to appear for today’s hearing after which the judge issued summons for him and the other accused.
The hearing of the case was subsequently adjourned to April 23.
The ATC had indicted Musharraf in the case in February 2011, and in August the same year he was declared a proclaimed offender and his property was attached because of his absence.
Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in a gun-and-bomb attack outside Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh on December 27, 2007. She was killed after addressing an election campaign rally in the city.

  1. Why waist money & time trying to prosecute Musharraf, he offered BB security on numerous occasions and it was rejected by her so called protecters. If the courts want to prosecute anyone they should prosecute Chor Dakoo pair Zardari & Malik. Any normal human would have resigned after the murder of his shareek-e-Hayat, but Zaradari took this to his advantage as $ signs were rolling in his eyes. Judiciary should do the right thing leave Musharraf alone let him fight the elections and watch how much support this man commands, and this is exactly what the Puppets are worried about!!!

Are you above the law? Let the justice take its own course. The courts will tell if he is a murderer or not. Musharaf as I know is involved in many heinous crimes, and I wait for the judges to decide.

  2. No justification as influential are at large or even out of screen/Did the responsible for fall of Dacca get punishment? It is very bad luck for Pakistan, when the ruler is in full power,he is treated as NAOOZ BILLAH GOD,When is gone he is abused for ever.If Ret.Gen.Musharraf is held responsible, all the ministers, advertisers and big big dignities must be also brought in the courts.

  3. Musharraf never claimed to be a saint. He made mistakes like any other human being. He, howver, did not kill BB. zardari and rehman malik planned her murder. These two stood to gain the most from her death. It was in Musharraf's interest to keeep BB alive since she had already agreed to Musharraf being a Preseident if she won the elections. Corrupt judiciary with big egos are the cause of Pakistan's problems. The never take any action against anyone influential untill they are out of office and then all of a sudden it occurs to them that they have an obligation to the nation. What a joke.

  4. Another baseless case. Judicial harrassment only. Speaks well of our judicial officers and their egoes.

  5. army personal are way more loyal to the country then judges and leaders of political parties. all the courts are politcially motivated and have their loyalties with one political party or another. its all cheap justice. their is no justice. these judges should be hanged by army alongside with leaders of political parties. pmln and ppp mainly.
