The Sindh High Court accepted the appeal petition filed by Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) over Karachi’s new delimitation of constituencies.
The MQM had requested to halt the printing of voter lists of those controversial constituencies until the court issues order over the new delimitation of constituencies in Karachi.
The SHC had issued notice to the Election Commission of Pakistan for the hearing on Friday.
Naseem Farogh, who is representing MQM in the case, had filed the application to defer the printing of voters’ lists of those constituencies.
On April 8, a two-judge bench of the SHC had saved the judgment over MQM’s petition regarding new delimitation.
