The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday took notice of additional state security being provided to the Sharif brothers, according to a private TV channel.

Initial reports said that the ECP passed an order, directing state authorities to revoke additional police force deployed for former premier Nawaz Sharif and his brother, former Punjab chief minister Shahbaz Sharif.

  1. People of Pakistan are an asset of Pakistan, not two politicians. What has he or his brother done to provide security to the real assets of Pakistan (its people). Where was the chief minister when minorities were being brutally discriminated against? Half of his police escort would have been enough to control the incident. People who blindly pass comments such as “Both the leaders are an asset for the nation and their security is responsibility of the state,” are nothing more than illiterate ticket hungry politicians.
