In the continuing drive against criminals, police arrested 49 accused from different parts of the metropolis during the last 24 hours.
A police statement on Friday said that those arrested included 19 absconders and one proclaimed offender.
It said that 22 weapons of different calibres were also recovered from the possession of the accused.
Meanwhile, action was taken against 24 motorcyclists for violating ban on pillion riding.
Action was also taken against nine people for having displayed tinted glasses and fancy number plates on their vehicles.
