The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday dismissed Pakistan’s state television’s managing director (MD) Yousaf Baig Mirza.
Justice Shoukat Aziz Siddiqui hearing former MD of Pakistan Television (PTV) Ashraf Azeem’s petition, challenging the appointment of Yousaf Baig Mirza, dismissed the incumbent MD and appointed Engineer Mustafa Kamal Kazi as an interim head of the state television.
The court also ordered the government to appoint a new MD on merit within 30 days.
