Habib phones Altaf, condoles killing of MQM workers

Caretaker interior minister Malik Habib offered his deepest condolences to Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain for the brutal killings of MQM activists.
According to a statement issued here on Friday, Malik Habib telephoned MQM leader late at night and condemned the premeditated slaying of MQM nominated election candidate from Hyderabad, namely Fakhrul Islam, MQM’s Literature Committee member Shiraz and other workers, who were gunned down in different parts of the metropolis.
During the telephonic discussion, MQM chief Altaf told the caretaker interior minister that murders, unlawful raids, and unwarranted detentions of MQM workers were nothing less than conspiracies to sabotage the party’s election campaign.
Malik assured Altaf of his complete cooperation in addressing all the grievances of the party.
“If I have to, I will personally come to Karachi and push the authorities concerned to get to the bottom of these violent acts of victimization and leaving no culprit at large”, he added.
