Karachi cracker blast hurts 2, toll in targeted killing rises to 10

At least two people were injured when a cracker bomb was lobbed in ZahraGarden area of Karachi early on Thursday, while 10 people, including policemen, were killed in various parts of the city.

According to police, some unidentified miscreants hurled a cracker in Malir area of ZahraGarden this morning that injured two people. They were shifted to a nearby private hospital.

Meanwhile targeted killings re-emerged in Karachi, claiming the life of 10 people, including policemen.

According to police, a CID police member was killed in Gulberg area of the city while two policemen were shot dead within the limits of SITE-B police station after unknown motorcyclists opened fire on them. The policemen were identified as Zahid and Khalid.

A man identified as Shoaib was shot dead in Yousuf Goth area of the city while two people were gunned down in Korangi.

Five people were also killed in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, BaldiaTown, Shahra-e-Noor-Jahan, New Karachi and SteelTown.
