No Basant after all: Sethi decides against holding Basant this season

The Punjab caretaker setup on Tuesday decided against the proposition of a Basant Festival earlier proposed by Caret taker Chief Minister Najam Sethi.
Sethi directed City District Government Lahore (CDGL) to devise a plan to successfully hold Basant this season. After conducting surveys, CDGL personnel submitted a plan to hold Basant on the 14th and 15th of April at Safari park Raiwand and Jallo park.
After careful consideration in a panel meeting, it was decided that there were several bottlenecks in the plan as well as severe objections by the police.
The police maintained that they could not ensure the safety of the people during the event. After the meeting, the panel recommended to the CM to not go ahead with the project and the project was subsequently shelved by the CM

    poor government always shifts its load of public responsibility to the public at large so that afterward becomes the face of lawlessness
    if they are not in the position to entertain public with their supreme celebration then sorry to say they re not fit for this job..

  2. yes!!! mr sethi was very casual on one of his show regarding basant claiming that its only takes 2 sho's to arrange basant and after getting everybody's hope up he is now deciding against it……….SHAME on you SETHI

    • I remember the show. u r right. its different to criticize than to take appropriate action when a person is incharge. It also proves that journalism is different from running a government.

For not only Basant, I am also overwhelmed with every kind of worries in Pakistan. I often ask my Almighty God why I was born in Pakistan. Nothing is done sensibly here.
