Lawyers of the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday badly beat up a colleague for filing a petition against approval of former Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah’s nomination papers.
According to reports, Khairpur District Bar’s President Manzoor Ansari filed a petition against approval of Qaim Ali Shah’s nomination papers.
On Wednesday, Ansari and Qaim Ali Shah’s lawyer Liaqat Shar appeared in the Election Tribunal and both exchanged harsh words.
Tribunal issued notices to Qaim Ali Shah and others and summoned them on April 12.
As Ansari came out of the court, supporters of the former CM started beating the lawyer. He was later rushed to hospital for treatment of injuries.
