To ensure the security of the people on May 11, the Election Day, the Interior Ministry is mulling suspending cellular phone services on the day.

Sources in the ministry revealed that former interior minister Rehman Malik suspended mobile services on many occasions that brought fruitful results, so the interim government was mulling to follow his formula.

They said the government had started consultations regarding the suspension of mobile phone services on the eve of polling for 24 hours, from 7am on 11 May until the next morning.

  1. How stupid sense-less this reporting is? Do not you people need to confirm before reporting? All the day of election, if presiding officers get any problems and they want to report it to higher authorities or they want to call police, how they will call them? And how the candidates will make contact with their poling agents deputed at various polling stations? Is that possible? Dont spread rumors and learn the ethics of reporting. Grow up a little! If you can.
