Two killed, rangers’ detain 18 suspects

At least two people were killed in firing incidents in different parts of the metropolis on Monday.
According to details, some unidentified persons opened fire in Up Morr area of North Nazimabad and shot dead a youth named Irfan. The body of the deceased was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
In another incident, a 22-year-old security guard named Muhammad Ibrahim was killed in Johar Morr area of Gulistan-e-Johar when his gun went off accidently.
Meanwhile, paramilitary rangers’ force carried out targeted operations in various parts of the city and rounded up 18 suspects. Per details, rangers’ personnel surrounded Model Colony Nishtar Town and conducted house-to-house search.
The operation was aimed at ensuring a proper law and order situation in the metropolis. Rangers also claimed to have recovered 44 large and small weapons from the possession of the nabbed suspects.
In addition, Rangers launched a robust drive to remove barriers and hurdles to arrest criminals from different parts of Karachi. Heavy contingents of rangers raided many areas of Lyari including Dubai Chowk, Phoolpati Lane, Sangholane, Afshani Gali and Jamshed Quarters and removed all hurdles and barriers from these areas.
These operations would continue in different parts of the city until all illegal barriers and hurdles were removed from the city, informed rangers’ sources.
