Professor Javed Alam, former head of ENT Department at DUHS, his wife, sister and another relative died on Sunday in a road accident in Saudi Arabia.
The accident happened when the family was heading to Madina from Makkah in a taxi, said a spokesman of the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) in a statement issued on Monday.
“Prof Alam was a very dedicated professional and a role model for young doctors. His services for the country, medical fraternity and masses would be remembered,” the PIMA spokesman said.
