As the election campaign gains momentum, banners and posters of political parties are appearing everywhere in the federal capital, including on traffic signboards on the roads.
Citizens talking to INP said that the display of posters of candidates has become a problem because activists of political parties are pasting these posters on sign boards, poles and on signboards of different departments alongside roads of the federal capital.
Muhammad Shahid, a student, said that Capital Development Authority (CDA) should take stern action against those who paste posters on signboards and other inappropriate places.
“It seems Islamabad belongs to the political parties only because they paste posters anywhere with full impunity,” he added.
Citizens demanded the CDA take notice of the illegal promotion ahead of general elections and ensure implementation of the code of conduct of the Election Commission Pakistan.
