SSC part-I & II exams from Monday

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad has finalised all arrangements to conduct Secondary School Certificate Part-I and Part-II Annual Examinations 2013 in its region from Monday.
BISE Hyderabad Chairman Prof Abdul Aleem Khanzada informed that around 1, 13,985 male and female students would appear in these examinations. The required facilities have been made available in the examination centres for them, he added.
He informed that BISE Hyderabad had also made necessary arrangements to curb the menace of cheating and use of unfair means in the examinations.
The BISE had already organised a daylong seminar on 2nd April for setting up the guidelines and training of the superintendents of examination centres, he informed.
He further said that BISE also formed 26 vigilance teams to monitor all 206 examination centres in Hyderabad Division where 1, 13,985 students would appear in the examinations.
Besides, he informed that a control room had also been established at Chief Minister Sindh’s Secretariat Karachi with Telephone # 021-99207568, 99202065, 99202081-82, 99202051-05 and Fax # 021-99202007 and 99202000.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Commissioner Jamal Mustafa, while presiding over a meeting on Saturday evening to review the arrangements of the examinations, had directed all deputy commissioners and the academics to adopt foolproof preventive measures to curb the use of unfair means and copy culture in the examinations.
The commissioner also announced the imposition of Section 144 Cr. P.C. in order to prohibit the movement of unauthorised persons near the examination centres.
He directed the deputy commissioners to prepare a security plan in consultation with the district police officers concerned and also to appoint focal persons.
Furthermore, the commissioner directed them to convey the names and contact numbers of those focal persons where examination centres were established and also to the BISE management.
The commissioner also directed the deputy commissioners not to allow any person to enter or exit from the examination centres after commencement of exams. He asked them to coordinate with local media persons for maintaining code of ethics in the centres.
He also directed the BISE administration to ensure that seating capacity, required staff and exam material was available at each examination centre. He further directed them not to allow non- teaching staff to enter the examination centres.
Moreover, he directed the officers of the Education Department to coordinate with government / private school managements and to ensure transparent examinations in the division.
He further directed the HESCO authorities to exempt the examination centres from load shedding and to arrange alternate energy sources in case of technical faults in the power lines.
After discussion and deliberation, the meeting decided to empower the superintendents of examination centres to lodge FIR against the persons found involved in impersonation, replacement of answer copies, creating disturbance and violating the Section 144 Cr. P.C. at the police stations concerned.
