The Election Commission of Pakistan has warned that despite the acceptance of nomination papers and success in the polls‚ if any candidate was found involved in fraud‚ he or she would be disqualified.
Talking to reporters on Sunday‚ ECP Additional Secretary Afzal Khan said scrutiny would continue even after the general elections.
Khan said that the ECP had asked the caretaker governments not to appoint partial people on important posts. He also said the ECP had acquired the services of FBR official Junaid Ikraam to help evaluate the financial and tax returns of the contesting candidates.
