The 1st J.A.Zaman Golf Tournament concluded successfully at the par-72, Lahore Gymkhana Golf Course,yesterday and the glorious one of the tournament turned out to be Sardar Murad of Lahore Gymkhana who excelled in all departments of the game to produce a round of gross 71, 0ne under par.
Sardar Murad played an inspiring game and the whole effort fetched him not only the glittering trophy but also the honor of receiving it from J.A.Zaman himself.J.A.Zaman is a 95 years old iconic figure of the club who gathered the energy to attend the grand prize distribution himself alonwith his lady and sons and grand children. J.A.Zaman also endorsed the commitment made by his son, Hamid Zaman, that this event will become an iconic event in the years to come.
Other performers in the gross section were Mohsen Zafar (2nd gross) with a score of gross 76,M.Nasir Irshad (3rd gross) with a similar round of 76 and Dr Zafar Nasrullah(fourth gross) with a score of 76 grosss.The positions were determined based on a better score on the back nine.
In the race for net honors the best one turned out to be Azmat Lodhi with an amazing round of net 63.Second net was attained by Hafiz Aftab(net 64) and third net prize went to Ahmed Khalid..
