Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi has directed the Punjab Health Department to ensure operationalisation of medical instruments and machinery in all government hospitals within one week. He directed Punjab Health secretary to submit a report to him by April 10 in this regard.
Sethi has ordered authorities of Punjab Health Department that all medical instruments, which were currently under repair, should be operationalised within one week, and if these medical instruments were found to be out-of-order after this period, the concerned officers would be held responsible for it. He also directed provision of necessary funds to ensure proper repair and maintenance of these medical instruments and other related machinery.
