PML-N protestors climb up the pole again

The PML-N’s Model Town Secretariat has become a regular spot for protests against the party’s policy of distribution of tickets across the province. Protests started in front of the secretariat right after the party leadership began its deliberations on the award of tickets for various important districts of Punjab including Lahore.

Most of the protests have been on the intra-party tussles among various rival groups operating on local levels. Protests were mainly based on the issue of awarding of tickets to Punjab Assembly former deputy speaker Rana Mashood and former MNA Ayaz Sadiq.

On Thursday as well, the party workers joined hands against the PML-N leaders. They alleged that their leaders had done nothing for their respective constituencies.

PML-N workers gathered outside the party office were mostly sympathizers and supporters of Rana Mashood. Several workers in the middle of their protests also climbed up the pole adjacent to the H Block party secretariat to attract the attention of the party leadership. It is learnt that the parliamentary board will finalise party line from Lahore today.
