Caretaker Federal Minister for Industries and Production Shahzada Ahsan Ashraf Sheikh said Thursday that his priority is to clear the backlog of issues piled in the ministry since long.
“We will try to clear backlog policies including new industrial policy left by the previous government,” the federal minister said while talking to a selected gathering of media persons here.
This was the first interaction of the minister with media after taking charge of his office as Caretaker Minister for Industries and Production.
He said that every ministry has the direction to clear backlog of policies that have been pending with the respective ministries. He said that his focus as a minister of Industries and Production would be to implement the policies for the promotion of industrial sector to ensure progress and prosperity of the country.
