Caretaker Minister for Water and Power Dr Musssadiq Malik has told the heads of power distribution companies and officers of the Ministry to improve their working and achieve targets or they would have to leave the posts. Addressing a meeting of heads of Power distribution companies and officers of the Ministry, Dr Mussadiq Malik said warned that no hurdle would be allowed in the implementation of decisions for improvement in power supply system. He directed the officials to take steps which give relief to the people from load shedding. The Water and Power Minister said in addition to improvement in power generation, he asked them to keep a watch on water availability for irrigation. He said increased wter supply would improve agricultural production. Dr Mussadiq said though he was looking after the ministry for a limited period but the need was to take decisions having lasting and far reaching impact in improvement of power sector. He said everyone will have to join hand to do something for the country and its people.
