The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday sought the presence of a Wapda official in the court to explain the unabated power shutdown in the city.
The LHC Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial observed that the people were being deprived of electricity despite paying thousands of rupees. He also sought a valid schedule of power distribution in the metropolitan. The case was adjourned for April 11.
Unscheduled load-shedding has been an increasingly disturbing problem for the dwellers of Lahore. The hours-long absence of the utility brings life to a complete halt and sometimes forces people to take it to the streets.
